Upscale Diner Ella Now Open In Boulder

After closing Radda Trattoria last month and announcing plans for an upscale diner in its place, owner Edwin Zoe has opened Ella in North Boulder. Named for jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald, the "fine diner" is serving American comfort food through breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Zoe, who is also known for Chinese favorite Zoe Ma Ma, envisions the spot as a neighborhood anchor and wanted the food to reflect classic sensibilities. Look for staples like chicken-fried steak, boozy milkshakes, matzo ball soup, burgers, sandwiches and more. And though the menu features elevated twists and is paired with a fine-casual setting, diners are encouraged to linger and enjoy themselves.

Ella is located at 1265 Alpine Ave. in Boulder. The eatery is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
