Glaze By Sasa Now Open in Congress Park

The transformation is complete and Glaze by Sasa is officially open. The Japanese-inspired bakery located in Congress Park closed its doors in March to revamp its concept and expand its reach through a partnership with the popular Sushi Sasa. Reinvented as a sushi and dessert bar, Glaze by Sasa is now open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, bringing the neighborhood a rich selection of food and composed plated desserts and baked goods.

Gone is the imposing pastry case that dominated the quaint and modern space at Glaze up until March. In its place, guests will find comfortable tables. A sushi bar replaced the former pastry-making area in the back of the space, but the famous Red Dragon oven remained a center-piece of this eatery.

The menu features soups and salads like the clear soup and roasted beets salad, main courses like the duck breast udon and hamachi belly poke, and plated desserts like the chocolate yuzu pave and lemongrass and ginger panna cotta. The sushi menu is extensive and brings the creativity that Sasa has accustomed its guests with. And fret not, you can still get macarons and baum cakes to go.
