Top Taco Denver, an eating and drinking extravaganza centered around tacos and margaritas, will take place on Thursday, June 26 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. (5:30 to 9:30 for VIP ticket holders). Set at the Sculpture Park on Speer Boulevard between Arapahoe and Champa streets, the inaugural festival-like contest will pit 24 local restaurants against one another for taco supremacy.
Among the participants, Adelitas Cocina Y Cantina, Comida Cantina at the Source, Los Chingones, Moontower Tacos, Pinche Tacos, Uno Mas Cantina, Solitaire, The Squeaky Bean, and Zengo. One lucky Eater reader can now win two VIP tickets to the showdown.

The participating restaurants will compete in three categories: Top Creative Taco, Top Traditional Taco and Best Margarita, all of which will be voted on by the public as well as a team of judges.
General admission tickets are $65 per person (VIP tickets are $125) and can be purchased online at www.toptacodenver.com. Top Taco is a benefit for the Colorado Restaurant Association's Education Foundation ProStart scholarship program.
