The location along Sloan's Lake at 2045 Sheridan Blvd. in Edgewater that housed Breakfast on the Edge has changed hands to become Rupert's at the Edge. Husband-and-wife team Tim Nevadomski and Susan Olsen scooped up the eatery when Breakfast at the Edge became available earlier this year. Though the spot remains a breakfast, brunch and lunch stop, the pair has been implementing changes to both the menu and dining room.

A new menu roll-out comes with an emphasis on fresh and local ingredients, with as much made from scratch as possible—think hollandaise sauce, fresh-baked biscuits and house-smoked salmon.

"We want to be known for breakfast, brunch and lunch as well as scratch food and friendly service," says co-owner Tim Nevadomski.

Rupert's at the Edge is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
