Breckenridge's newest brewery, Broken Compass Brewing, has opened it doors with six different brews on tap. The brewery, located off of Airport Road, features regional wood details and haul rope from the old Colorado chair at Breckenridge Ski Resort. Local buzz has already been created with the six different debut brews: Coconut Porter, Belgian Wit, Chili Pepper Pale, IPA, India Brown Ale, and Collaboration Saison. Guests can expect to see twelve brews on tap by the end of the summer.

What was once just a plan became Broken Compass Brewing about eighteen months ago. Since then, beer has been flowing and beetle kill wood flying. Owners Jason Ford, David Axelrod, and Jollene Ford have mutual backgrounds in chemical engineering, sustainability, and a passion for great beer. The trio sees community gatherings in their future as well as a full rotating food truck schedule for guests to enjoy bites during their visit. The goal is to help promote Summit County and Breckenridge as a destination for beer. Until then, grab a growler of Coconut Porter and make yourself an ice cream float!
