Glazed & Confuzed Doughnuts Almost Ready to Open

In less than two weeks, Glazed and Confuzed will open its doors at 5301 Leetsdale Drive, just up the street from the new Inga's Lounge. Chef and donut artist Josh Schwab is getting the new 2600 square foot space ready and testing new as well as tried-and true creations in preparation for the opening.

The contemporary space provides convenient and efficient service with large display cases and electronic menu boards, but also comfortable and ample seating for those wishing to enjoy the fried doughy treats on premises.

When it opens, Glazed and Confuzed will offer ten different doughnuts every couple of weeks and will always keep five signature flavors on the menu. Among those signature flavors is the Breakfast of Champs, a maple doughnut topped with bacon, and the Root Beer Float, glazed with freshly-brewed root beer and filled with a vanilla custard.

A highlight is the Puffy Nut, the shop's variation on the Cronut, a doughnut and croissant hybrid. What's more? There is a soufflé doughnut in the works, one that guests will have to sit down to enjoy as it will drip right out of the dough at the first bite.
