Beehive Shutters in Boulder; A Wine Bar to Replace It

Beehive Restaurant [Photo: Grace Boyle]

Beehive, the quaint farm-to-table restaurant that chef Janice Henning opened in Boulder nearly two years ago, closed its doors quietly. Henning took a ten year hiatus from the kitchen until 2012 when she decided to resurrect her eatery Beehive, originally located in Denver in the space that now houses Table 6. The Boulder iteration, as the original, did not cut any corners: everything from jams to duck confit was made in-house and produce and meats were sourced locally. When the opportunity arose however to move on from the restaurant, Henning and her husband and business partner Tim Elenteny took it.

The prime (yet disjointed from the main street) space located at 2018 10th Street, will not be vacant for very long. PMG, a wine bar, will open in the same location in early August.
