This weekend, the Kitchen Next Door will open its doors at Union Station as part of its soft opening —for friends and family only. On Monday July 14, this third location of the Boulder pub will welcome the community in the south wing of Denver's renovated train station.
This is the second restaurant to open in this highly anticipated project. Stoic & Genuine, chef Jennifer Jasinski's fourth restaurant, opened its doors earlier this week.
The 4,250-square-foot space was designed by Denver-based Semple Brown Design, a premier design company that worked on previous projects with the Kitchen, but also designed restaurant like Euclid Hall, the Squeaky Bean, and Pizzeria Locale, among others.
There are 140 seats for guests to enjoy and more than half of them offer direct views of the fountain-filled Wynkoop Plaza—a 40,000-square-foot outdoor open space just east of the Station. Come back for more details and a full photo gallery on Monday.
