Chef Lon Symensma Will Open Cho77, A Noodle Shop

Chef Lon Symensma, owner of ChoLon Bistro, will open a second restaurant this winter: Cho77. His managing partners in the new venture are Joe Vostrejs and Pat McHenry. In a 2,000 square foot space located at 42 South Broadway next door to Beatrice & Woodsley, Symensma plans to serve his take on dim sum, noodles and other Asian influenced dishes.

Planned as a walk-in only, casual and affordable restaurant and bar, the eatery will seat about 48 guests at a long chef's counter and banquette seating. with dishes priced at less than $20. Next month, Lon will be heading to SE Asia with his sous chef, Ryan Gorby, visiting places like Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia to seek out and try traditional dishes that will inspire the new creations on the Cho77 menu.
