Shuck With the Governor at Jax on Tuesday

Colorado governor John Hickenlooper will be at Jax Fish House in LoDo on Tuesday, August 5 to serve as head oyster shucker starting at 5:30 p.m. Big Red F Restaurant Group boss Dave Query will join him behind the raw bar for an hour. During that time, free oysters will be served to all in attendance. Deals outside of that "magic hour" will include $1.25 oysters, $3 Dixie lagers, $5 wine, $1 off all brews from the Post Brewing Company, and $2 oyster shooters.

The deals will be good at all Jax locations, with guest shuckers appearing at the Glendale and Fort Collins spots too. In celebration of the event, guests can also enter to win a two-person trip to Emersum Oyster Farm on Chesapeake Bay.
