Earlier this week we brought you a map of places to try savory peach dishes. But food isn't the only match for the sweet fruit; cocktail lists are also getting in on peach season. Over at freshly opened LoDo spot Dorchester Social Eatery, the Peach McQueen cocktail recently debuted on the menu. This drink features Stranahan's whiskey, Rothman & Winter orchard peach liqueur, and lemon juice, served with a sugar rim and a peach nectar ice cube.
At EDGE in the Four Seasons Hotel, you'll find the Western Slope, which happens to contain 100 percent local ingredients. The libation is made with Leopold Bros. small-batch whiskey, peach liqueur, marinated Palisade peaches, and honey water.
Back in February, 5280 reported that Williams & Graham's Sean Kenyon created the winning pick for the title of Colorado State Cocktail by a fan vote through the magazine. That entry was the Centennial Smash, a version of which is on the current list, combining Elijah Craig 12-year bourbon, Leopold Bros. three pines liqueur, peaches, mint, lemon, and honey.
The Thai One On at Asian bistro ChoLon is a refreshing mix of Palisade peaches, Thai basil, chili-infused Domaine de Canton liqueur, and Mount Gay silver rum.
And for a non-alcoholic option, stop by the Curtis Club for the Peach Fonzie, a blend of peach puree, ginger beer, and lemon juice.
