Asbury Provisions Will Open Its Doors On Monday

Asbury Provisions, a new bar located in the space that formerly housed Renegade Publik House, will open its doors on Monday, September 1. The space was transformed and the men behind the new venture, Chris Topham and Jason Ladd, aim to bring a new kind of drinking experience to the DU neighborhood.

Asbury Provisions will feature 25 craft beers on tap, crafted cocktails made with house-infused liquors, and a curated wine list. In addition, a food menu will be available to complement the drinking offerings.

The owners, both originally from Philadelphia, have divided the duties of what they hope will be an elevated bar. Chris Topham, who has been in the industry since 1995 and whose resume includes a decade long stint as beer director for Eulogy Belgian Tavern in Philadelphia, will handle the beer program. Ladd, a culinary school grad, who has worked in various capacities in the industry, will handle wine and cocktails.

"Denver is an amazing drinking city," says Topham, "but we found a gap in the DU area when it comes to a place where the community has access to craft beer and proper cocktails, in an elevated atmosphere. This thriving neighborhood deserves something more than the standard college bar and we're excited to offer it to them with Asbury Provisions."

The bar will be open Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., Fridays from 4 p.. until 2 a.m,, Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. till 12 a.m. A grand opening party, open to the public, will take place on Friday, September 5, starting at 4 p.m. All day happy hour and other specials will be offered.
