Stoic & Genuine And Los Chingones Get Reviewed

The newest restaurant from chef Jen Jasinski and partner Beth Gruitch, Stoic & Genuine, received three stars (of 4) in the latest review from the Denver Post. Critic Bill Porter appreciated the offbeat and eclectic décor, found the prices to be reasonable, and highly recommended the raw bar. While the big-eye tuna tartare didn't impress him, he highly recommended two salads — the heirloom tomatoes and the watermelon — which he called "stellar."

Stacey Brugeman of 5280 Magazine focused on Los Chingones for her September review. The casual Mexican-inspired RiNo restaurant owned by chef Troy Guard scored two and a half stars (of 5). The dessert program did not meet expectations but Brugeman "loved the thick, smoky and sweet guajillo salsa served with warm chips" and recommended the braised beef tongue taco.
