In the years since the Great American Beer Festival first took place back in 1982, the event has only grown larger and increased in popularity, with tickets selling out in less than an hour in recent years. If you're still hoping to partake in the event next week celebrating all things craft beer, here are three opportunities to win tickets this weekend.
The BSide Back in the Day Brunch Kickoff
1336 East 17th Avenue
New Uptown eatery The BSide is launching its Back in the Day Brunch this weekend, with a party on both Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28. The entire celebration will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, but judging will go down at 1 p.m. for a best-dressed "blast from the past" costume contest. The winner will be the lucky recipient of a pair of Thursday session GABF tickets. Visit Facebook for more details.
Canoe Room at North Dock
2801 Tower Road, Aurora
Dry Dock Brewing Co. recently unveiled the Canoe Room, a new four-tap tasting room inside its large production facility in north Aurora, called North Dock. This taproom will be the site of a raffle on Saturday, September 27 for a set of tickets to GABF's Thursday session. Enjoy the Tropical Citrus hefeweizen firkin on tap, check out the new space, and be there when the drawing happens at 5 p.m.
The Brew Hut
15120 East Hampden Avenue, Aurora
This shop is a go-to for brewing supplies, in addition to offering homebrewing classes. To score one of two ticket pairs for GABF on Thursday night, stop by the Brew Hut from now until Sunday, September 28 at 4 p.m. The winner will be chosen and contacted later Sunday evening, but in the meantime those interested are limited to one entry per day.
