Beer Dinners Ring In The Great American Beer Festival

The sold-out GABF brings more than three days of sudsy debauchery. Sought-after, out-of-state breweries are hosting special beer dinners and events in collaboration with popular local restaurants. These are the highlights.

BOULDER - Oak at Fourteenth will run with a Beer & BBQ Roast on October 1, with the first course being served at 6:30 p.m. A $75 per person entry fee grants access to a variety of dishes, BBQ and otherwise, including buffalo chili paired with beers by Oskar Blues and Golden Road. LOHI - Join Linger, Great Divide and Dry Dock as they team up for a six-course beer pairing dinner on October 1 at 7:30 p.m. The collab's GABF dinner will feature multiple courses of beer-centric tapas. Tickets are $60 each; get yours by calling Linger at 303-993-3120.

RINO - Stone Craft Beer Ambassador "Dr." Bill Sysak will take Denver diners down a road of exploration of Stone's special releases this season, all from the diner's seat in River North gem The Populist. Service will begin at 6:30 p.m. on October 1. The $65 tickets can be purchased at the door, but seating is limited; for more information or to reserve ahead of time, call 720.432.3163.

LOHI - Let the music of The Grateful Dead be the soundtrack of the Magnolia Beer Brunch at Old Major on October 2. The three-course beer brunch runs $55 per person and is available multiple times throughout the day. For more information and to purchase tickets, go here.

LARIMER SQUARE - Avery Brewing Company and Euclid Hall will come together to feature the pair's fourth GABF Midnight Breakfast, kicking off at 11 p.m. on October 2 and showcasing multiple Avery brews such as Meretrix and Uncle Jacobs. Seats are $125 each and can be purchased here.

CIVIC CENTER - The Denver Rare Beer Tasting VI event is October 3. The event will feature exotic brews from 50 leading craft brewers and takes place in Denver during the Great American Beer Festival weekend. Proceeds from the event support the Pints for Prostates awareness campaign. A limited number of general admission tickets are still available for $110 each for the 1-4 p.m. tasting.
