As of yesterday, Centennial has a new Italian spot with the opening of Nonna's Italian Bistro Market and Deli. In 2011, owner Dedria Catalano-Tudor and her family sold similarly named Nonna's Chicago Bistro on Leetsdale Drive and set about finding a location to open another restaurant, which has been newly constructed near Arapahoe Road and Peoria Street.
The bistro side brings to the table brunch, lunch, and dinner menus consisting of from-scratch recipes by chef Victor Salgado. Look for Italian specialties like arancini, chicken or veal scallopini parmesan, and a variety of pizzas and pastas. Pastry chef Sydney Davidson also creates pastries and desserts like tiramisu, cannoli, and semifreddo.
Once up and running later in the week, the market will sell provisions such as olive oil, condiments, herbs, and more, with the deli offering panini, subs, and Chicago-style street food—think hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches. A coffee and gelato bar will round out the options.
Patrons will also be able to enjoy an outdoor patio area, in addition to a piano bar that will feature live entertainment.
Nonna's Italian Bistro is located at 11877 E. Arapahoe Rd. in Centennial. The bistro is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The deli opens daily at 7:30 a.m. and closes at 8 p.m.
