When a place is open until the wee hours of the morning, you can anticipate some weird goings-on from time to time. But on Friday afternoon, an incident unfolded in broad daylight at Chubby's on West 38th Avenue, where a man was stabbed inside the restaurant.
According to the Denver Post, two men were arguing outside at 1231 West 38th Avenue around 2:30 p.m., and then the victim went into Chubby's—perhaps for a green chile fix? Next, the suspect "'walked in and without saying anything started stabbing,'" a Denver police spokesman says.
Unlucky for him, an off-duty police officer was there at the time and bore witness to the knifing. The officer swiftly arrested the suspect, and the victim is expected to be OK.
