LAFAYETTE —The Post Brewing Company is turning one and a celebration is in order. Tomorrow, January 14 from 4 to 9 p.m., guests will have the opportunity to feast on fried chicken, beer, and pies. The first 50 guests [ 21 and over ] will receive a free GABF Silver Medal Winner Howdy Beer served in a commemorative GABF beer glass to take home. There will be live music by Jethro's Arsenal from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and a birthday pie cutting at 7:30 p.m.
LODO — Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill released its winter fresh sheet. The pub and eatery offers four seasonal fresh sheets throughout the year, highlighting seasonally inspired dishes, cocktails, wines and beer, as well as utilizing local ingredients. This winter's fresh sheet brings dishes ranging from the blackened Mahi Mahi to the roasted pork Cubano sandwich. This seasonal fresh sheet will run through the end of February.
UPTOWN — On Wednesday, January 14 at 7 p.m., Humboldt is hosting Duckhorn's Migration Wines winemaker and Colorado native Bo Felton for a paired four-course dinner. Pairings include the 2014 Migration Chardonnay, 2012 Migration Pinot Noir, 2012 Decoy Red and the 2011 Paraduxx Proprietary Red alongside executive chef DJ Nagle's fresh and inspired farm and fish menu.
DOWNTOWN — In honor of the National Western Stock Show, the Corner Office has created a rodeo themed cocktail for diners and guests. Just Another Goat Rodeo is a cocktail with a kick that combines Milagro silver tequila, Liquor 43, blackberry, pepper, honey + lime ($11). The Corner Office will offer Just Another Goat Rodeo in house over the dates of the Stock Show only (January 10 - 25).
