It makes sense that two of our top white table cloth restaurants that draw their inspiration from Italy are hosting blow out truffle dinners. Barolo Grill and Frasca Food and Wine
On November 2, Barolo Grill will host its annual truffle dinner. Chef Darrel Truett will create an eight-course menu inspired by Piemontese cuisine, featuring white and black truffles from Italy. Wine pairings will be included with each course for the dinner that starts at 6 p.m. The cost is $350 per person (includes food, wine, and tax). If you miss that, the truffle celebration continues from Tuesday, November 3 through Saturday, November 7. During that week, a five-course truffle tasting menu will be offered for $160 per person (food and truffles included, wine can be ordered separately). Reservations can be made by calling 303.393.1040. A carte pasta with fresh black or white truffles shaved table side is also an option outside of these two menus for $20 for the black ones and $44 for the white.
Frasca Food and Wine will host its 9th annual white truffle dinner on Monday, December 7 and Tuesday, December 8. This year's prestigious lineup includes chef Mark Ladner from Del Posto in NYC, winemaker Gaia Gaja, and a champagne reception from Krug. The events start at 6:30 p.m. and the price tag per person is $970 (includes truffle tasting menu and wine pairings). Seating is limited to 42 guests per evening and reservations can be made by calling 303.442.0608.
