Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill, whose expansion with a second Denver location was announced earlier this month, sent an update on its plans for growth and a rendering of its new location in Cherry Creek. The Portland-based pub will occupy the space at 201 Columbine, which most recently housed Earl's.

"With all of the redevelopment, both commercial and residential, in Cherry Creek, I think it's safe to say that Thirsty Lion is moving into this exciting neighborhood at just the right time," said Thirsty Lion CEO John Plew in a press release. "We've experienced enormous success with our first Denver location in Union Station, which has also undergone incredible redevelopment, and we think Cherry Creek offers similar opportunities for success."

Since opening 18 months ago, Thirsty Lion Union Station has become one of the restaurant company's most successful locations, which includes six outposts across Oregon, Arizona, and Colorado.

All locations of the pub feature eclectic yet approachable fare. A new fresh sheet of dishes is launched seasonally, incorporating a variety of local ingredients. A large selection of craft beers on tap, with many local options, is a highlight. Cocktails and wines are also part of the offerings.

In addition to Cherry Creek, openings in Gilbert, AZ and Dallas, TX have also been announced for 2016 and 2017.
