11 Food-Filled Events to Check Out This Weekend

Beer, brats, markets, and pizza is on the agenda.

LODO — On October 23, The Viewhouse Eatery is hosting Elysian Brewery for a Pumpkin Day! The Pumpkin day will include Pumpkin Bowling and a Carved Pumpkin contest (with the prize being a $100 bar tab), all accompanied by a variety of Elysian's pumpkin beers. The fun begins at 12 p.m. and goes until 3 p.m. Check out the Facebook event for more info.

AURORA — On October 23, starting at 1 p.m., Dry Dock Brewing Company will welcome Chey Fu's for the weekly food truck Friday! Guests at North Dock can enjoy delicious Latin-Asian grub while sipping a pint of Dry Dock beer. North Dock is located at 2801 Tower Road.

BALLPARK — On October 23 and 24, Joshua Peter-Smith will guest bartend for Butcher Bistro's one-year anniversary party. From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Peter-Smith (formerly of TAG, Twelve Restaurant, Williams and Graham, and Justice Snow's) will offer a custom cocktail menu for the occasion, and Butcher Bistro will serve a special menu as well. FORT COLLINS — Funkwerks is hosting a free concert October 23. Guests can enjoy Funkwerks beer while listening to colorado native Shaley Scott, starting at 6 p.m.

BERKELEY — Hops and Pie will throw a Pumpkin Fest on Saturday, October 24. The festival will include a large variety of pumpkin beers, including Rumpkin from Avery, Southern Tier's Warlock & Pumpking, Ballast Point Pumpkin Down, to name a few. Kegs will be tapped at noon, so don't forget to order a pizza for lunch.

RINO — On October 24-25, The Source is hosting a pop-up fall market, just in time for Halloween! The popup market will include artisan vendors such as Cure Organic Farm, PB Love, Craft Boner, and more. Guests can browse for fall favorites from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

AURORA — Dry Dock Brewing is celebrating its 10th anniversary on Saturday, October 24. Hosted at the North Dock location, the event will begin at 2 p.m. for live music, exclusive beer, and delicious food by Big Kiwi Eats. The new 10th anniversary Quad will be debuted as well, so don't miss out! Check the Facebook page for more information.

CHERRY CREEK This Sunday, October 25, Joy Wine and Spirits will host its 5th annual chili cook off starting at noon. There will be both amateur and a professional contests for the chili, so guests can determine who is the best in the Denver restaurant scene and locally. There will also be wine and beer tastings, as well as fun events for the kids. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased ahead of time here, but can also be purchased at the door for $20. Proceeds will go to Senior Housing Options.

RINO Even though the Broncos are not playing this week, Sunday can still be fun! Ratio Beerworks will host Cart-Driver for a pizza-beer-oyster pairing on October 25. The event will start at noon on the Ratio Patio, so bring an appetite.

FIVE POINTS — Wurstküche will be throwing a costumed bike ride this Sunday, October 25. Starting at 11 a.m., participants can get a bike tune up from The Urban Cyclist Denver and then head to Corvus Coffee for a warm boost of energy. The ride will go downtown and end up at Wurstküche, which will have live music and a raffle (not to mention beer and a bratwurst). A ticket donation of $20 will go to the Romito Foundation, and will earn you free coffee, a Bitburger, and a spot in the raffle. Click here for more details.

RINO — With Halloween right around the corner, the RiNo Yacht Club will feature The Nightmare Before Christmas as the sunday movie, with costumes encouraged. Starting at 7 p.m., the bar will offer $6 drink specials.
