Degree Metropolitan Food + Drink is now open
A new lunch and dinner spot opened on the Auraria campus inside the SpringHill Suites. The restaurant led by chef Daniel Hyman offers students from MSU Denver's Department of Hospitality, Tourism & Events real-life experience in restaurant operations and management. A portion of all meals at Degree - including lunch, dinner and bar sales - go towards the MSU Denver Foundation, which benefits student scholarships.
The Source is closed for the day
If you were planning a bite at Acorn or Comida today, scratch that. A construction incident this morning has the building closed after a crane working on the site of the Source Hotel collapsed damaging the roof of the market hall. No one inside the building was injured. A construction worker was taken to a hospital to receive medical attention. The building is closed for the rest of the day to assess the damage and ensure that there is no danger to the public.
Glazed and Confuzed Doughnuts pops up at Old Major

The Old Major team is working on a fusion of pork and doughnuts providing a sweet and savory dish. If the doughnuts run out, fear not: Old Major is still serving its regular brunch menu until 2:30 p.m.
