Seven year old Lola's Sugar Rush, a staple of Main Street in Littleton, will close its doors at the very end of the year. Wednesday, December 30 will be the shop's last day of selling candy and sweets to the community. Owner Lola Salazar, the woman behind the retro candy store, is taking a step back to be able to focus on managing the charitable giving activities of Salazar Family Foundation. The Salazars also own Denver's Central Bistro + Bar.
Lola's Sugar Rush will continue normal business hours and operations through the end of the year. As part of the farewell celebrations, a portion of all sales on Sundays in December will be donated to local charities that the Salazar Family Foundation is currently supporting.
