Five Dia De Los Muertos Bashes

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS CELEBRATION AT BACKSTAGE COFFEE – The Colorado Latin Leadership, Advocacy & Research Organization (CLLARO), the Denver Theatre District, and Backstage Coffee are teaming up to present a Dia de los Muertos event this Sunday from 6 - 9 p.m. A community altar exhibition will be on display along with face painting, performance art, and food and drink. The event will be held at Backstage Coffee on 14th st.

DIA DE LOS MUERTOS ON LARIMER SQUARE – The Larimer Square crew will be celebrating Day of the Dead early this year, with live music, tequila tastings, salsa dancing, sugar skull decorating, and more tonight from 6 - 9 p.m.

DAY OF THE DEAD PIG ROAST – On Sunday from 4 - 9 p.m., Finn's Manor is calling on some voodoo magic to start a roaring fire for a Day of the Dead pig roast. Flor de Caña rum and cocktails will be provided by the talented bar staff at the Manor while Owlbear Barbecue will be roasting a 100-pound pig from Western Daughters Butcher Shoppe. Jamaican and Caribbean sides to accompany the pork will be provided by Island Peppapot Catering. It will be $12 a plate or $15 for all-you-can-eat.

BOTANIC GARDENS' DIA DE LOS MUERTOS – The crew at Denver Botanic Gardens knows better than most that death is a natural part of the cycle of life. In celebration of the dead, the Gardens will be open from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday with a lineup of Dia de los Muertos activities ranging from face painting to Aztec dancing. Costumes are encouraged at this family-friendly event.

CERVEZA DE LOS MUERTOS – Diebolt would like to add to the general madness and confusion this weekend by hosting a Day of the Dead celebration on Halloween. Firkin tappings, discounted beers, and DJ beats will be going off all day on Halloween.
