Oregon-based the Thirsty Lion is taking another leap into Denver with a location in Cherry Creek, Westword reported. The pub will occupy the former Earl's Kitchen & Bar space at Second and Columbine and aims to open in May of 2016.

While Cherry Creek has been growing, this particular space has buried three restaurants in the last decade or so: Mao, Ocean, and the second location of Earl's. The Thirsty Lion will bring launch there confidently with its large beer selection, house-made from-scratch yet approachable food, as well as an upscale pub vibe that has been successful at the chain's other location next to Union Station.
