Michael Shiell's new restaurant, Milk & Honey, delivers a solid new dining option for LoDo, Westword said. Critic Gretchen Kurtz may not have loved the dried-out tortelloni or the roast chicken with eerily pale skin, but she called these exceptions to the her experiences in the Larimer Square spot. Modern yet simple in its respect for ingredients, Milk & Honey served Kurtz standout dishes that were riffs on classics like the Caprese salad.
Almost a year old, Stout Street Social earned two stars from the Denver Post in this week's review. Critic Bill Porter underlined the wide selection on the menu ranging from burgers and salads to a serious raw bar with great values on fresh oysters. Portions are generous, staff is friendly, and the booze selection pleasing to every taste.
