A building that has sat empty for years located at 2737 Welton Street will become Five Points Public House next summer. Syrup owner Tim Doherty, who mans three locations of the breakfast eatery (plus an upcoming one), is returning to his roots with this casual neighborhood pub. Doherty is a seasoned bartender who has helmed the bustling Lodo's for no less than 16 years. He is finally making good on his dream to own his own bar.

The new bar and eatery will occupy the first floor of the 109 year old structure, building co-owner Clay Carson shared with Business Den. Owner Tim Doherty has not shared specific details, but sources tell Eater that the new pub will focus on Americana-type fare with fried chicken and a large selection of beers as a highlight.
