BALLPARK — Against the Grain, a series of pop-up dinners, will be kicking off its first event with The First Cut at Lower 48 on Saturday, November 21. Chefs Joe Mazzocco and Chris Kellogg are teaming up to bring guests a five course dinner, with cocktail pairings and live music from Dj Ultraviolet. Tickets are $65 for dinner and cocktail pairings, and are available here.
FORT COLLINS — Funkwerks is releasing a new beer called Tropic King this Saturday, November 21. The new beer will be a limited edition imperial saison, which is specially aged in Leopold Bros Peach Whiskey barrels. Just in time for Thanksgiving, the brewery is only making 600 bottles of the limited brew, so head down to Funkwerks ASAP to make sure you get some.
LODO — "Shave the date" for a day celebrating no shave November and dark beers at Wynkoop brewery. On Saturday November 21, Wynkoop and a dozen other breweries will be showcasing their collections of dark beers, which for $40, gets you a commemorative glass for unlimited dark beer tastings and chocolatey treats to accompany your beer imbibing. 100% of ticket sales will benefit the Movember foundation, and can be purchased here.
CAPITOL HILL — Alpine Dog Brewing Company is turning one and the celebration includes the release of its bourbon barrel-aged Peach Pale Ale at a birthday bash this Saturday, November 21. DOWNTOWN — The Brown Palace will host its annual Champagne Cascade this Sunday, November 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will kick off the holiday season with Moët & Chandon champagne flowing from the top tier of a two story pyramid of 6,000 champagne glasses, under the twinkle of holiday lights at noon. Santa will also be making a guest appearance at 11 a.m. to turn on the lights. RINO — On Sunday, November 22 at 11 a.m, Beryl's Beer Company is hosting a chili cook off in time for the cold weather. Guests are welcome to bring their own chili, for which they will receive a $5 bar tab, and the chance to go down in Chili History. Guests who are just looking to try are also encouraged to attend, and are encouraged to bring a donation of healthy cereal to Project Angel Heart as well.
