Skip the Black Friday retail madness and opt for food and booze instead. These restaurants and bars are bringing on the deals.
• EDGE at the Four Seasons is asking guests to think ahead. For one day only, all reservations made for the month of January 2016 will receive a 50% discount off of food. Call 303.389.3050 and mention "Black Friday."
• Make it a Brunch Friday at Postino Wine Cafe, where the compact menu is expanded for brunch to include scratch offerings such as walnut toast with triple crème brie and tartly sweet house made berry preserves, or the ciabatta French toast with the house made berry preserves, almonds and vanilla crème fraiche to finish. Wash it down with a selection from the eclectic and approachable wine list where any glass of wine is $5 until 5 p.m.
• Station 26 is releasing no less than eight flavors of its 11+% Dark Star Imperial Stout aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for 12 months. Favorites from last year like Mexican Chocolate and German Chocolate are returning but new ones are also joining the fray. Starting at 1:30 p.m., one variation will be tapped every 30 minutes.
• The newly opened Del Frisco's Grill aims to lure mall shoppers with two holiday cocktails: the Cinnamon Apple Mule (apple bourbon, Jim Beam Fire with ginger beer and fresh squeezed lime) and the White Chocolate Candy Cane Martini (Stoli vanilla vodka, Godiva white chocolate, peppermint Schnapps, and a dollop of cream). When you bring in a receipt from any Cherry Creek retailer, your table at the Grille will receive a complimentary order of the signature cheesesteak egg roll to enjoy on Black Friday.
• The fancier sister of the new Cherry Creek restaurant, the Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse located in the Tech Center launches its own holiday cocktails today, a pumpkin-spiced latte-tini (Stoli vanilla, real pumpkin and pumpkin syrup, half and half, garnished with nutmeg) and the chocolate eggnog martini (Stoli vanilla, Godiva dark chocolate, eggnog, garnished with shaved chocolate).
• Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar Glendale is offering an all night happy hour on Black Friday and through the weekend. Other specials include $1.50 Emersum oysters, $4 chicken & crawfish gumbo, $5 specialty cocktails, and $3 Post Brewing Company Beers, among others.
• Caution Brewing will sell bombers of "Tim," the curry-infused Imperial Pumpkin Ale, at a buy 2 get 1 free price. The holiday spiced Milk Stout along with the delicious Belgian DIPA will also be released today.
• Lafayette's The Post Brewing Company will be giving out free Whoopie pies to anyone who brings a Lafayette Local Gift Receipt to lunch.
• In Boulder, the West End Tavern will hand out some sweet swag to the first 50 customers to pull on our doors on Black Friday. Goose Island Beer Company from Chicago, Illinois will be in the house, pouring specialty pints including their unbeatable Bourbon County Stout.
• Join Centennial's Two Penguins Tap & Grill as it hosts River North Brewery for a tap takeover. The bar is open until 11 p.m.
