Avery Brewing Launches Stout, Charcoal Hosts Swedish Buffet

This weekend is chock full of holiday and/or beer-centric events.

GOLDEN TRIANGLE Charcoal Restaurant is hosting a traditional Swedish holiday buffet this weekend. On Saturday, December 12, guests will find traditional food such as such as Janssons temptation, assorted pickled herring, Swedish meatballs, and more on the menu. Bonus: Glögg will also be served. Tickets are $35, and includes the buffet and one cup of mulled wine. Call 303.454.0000 to reserve a spot at the holiday dinner.

LOHI — Denver Deep Dish Lohi is hosting another kid's DIY pizza party on Saturday, December 12. $12 will cover a kids small three topping deep dish pizza, kids drink and 1 adult beverage. There will also be food specials and drink specials for all who come in. The pizza party begins at 10 a.m. and ends at noon.

RINO — The Source is hosting a holiday themed popup market on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Among others, guests will find pies and more from Sweet Jayne's and a variety of items from vendors like Craft Boner, Hygge Life, and Kazu Oba.

AURORA — Every Saturday, Dry Dock North Dock taps a new firkin beginning at noon. On Saturday, December 12, a grapefruit wheat beer will be available in limited quantities. The tapping will take place in Dry Dock's canoe room. Dry dock's Facebook page has additional information.

SUNNYSIDE — Diebolt's 2nd annual Tots for Toys Cornhole tournament is here. Teams can enter for $20 and one unwrapped toy per team, to be donated to Toys for Tots. The games begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday December 12, and the top three teams will win a 100% payout. For rules and signup information, go to Mile High Cornhole's Facebook page.

BERKELEY — Denver Cat Company is celebrating its one year birthday on Saturday, December 12. From 5 p.m. to 8, the cat café will host an open house with wine, beer, snacks, and prizes to celebrate with the kitties. There will also be a champagne toast at 6:30. LONGMONT — Cafe Aion is hosting a winter farm dinner on Saturday, December 12. The dinner will be served at Oxford Gardens' party house, where guests warmed by the fireplace will enjoy a four-course meal, complete with wine pairings. Tickets are $110 and can be booked by calling 303.993.8131. Seats are extremely limited, so RSVP ASAP.

BOULDER — On Sunday, December 13, Avery Brewing Company will release its brand new Vanilla Bean Stout. The beer, made with vanilla derived from fresh bourbon barrels and Tongan, Ugandan, and Mexican whole vanilla beans, will be tapped at 11 a.m. Guests can take home bombers or enjoy a brew on tap. The beer is the latest permanent addition to Avery, and will be available year round in bomber form.

LOWRY — The 2015 Beer Festivus Kicks off on Sunday, December 13 at 2 p.m. The craft beer event, held at the Wings Over the Rockies Museum, features some of the best breweries from Colorado. Tickets range from $40 - $65 and can be purchased here.
