PARK HILL — On December 19, join Fiction Beer for the release of an exclusive collaboration with Glazed and Confuzed Donuts: DONUT PANIC, a Confuzed Samoa Donut Ale. The release party will begin at noon, and will feature beer pairings with a selection of donuts from Glazed and Confuzed. DONUT PANIC will also be available on tap and in 22 ox bombers.
RINO — Black Shirt Brewing Co is re-releasing its 2015 Red Evelyn IPA. The brewery normally releases this once a year in August, but the original batch had to be redesigned. The release will be on Saturday, December 19th along with a Pop Up Record Store in Black Shirt's taproom.
CAPITOL HILL — DiFranco's Restaurant is hosting a three course food and wine pairing, featuring Peter Franus Wines on Saturday, December 19. The dinner will commence at 7 p.m., and costs $75 per person, wine included. Call DiFranco's at 720.253.1244 to make a reservation.
RINO — Hipster Santa is coming to the Source on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for some millennial-friendly photo ops. Resident photographer Jennifer Olson will host the modern day St. Nick and will shoot photos for $20. For every selfie shared on social media with this Santa and the hashtag #RiNoHipsterSanta, the Source will donate $1 to Slow Food Denver. Jennifer Olson Photography will match that donation.
ARVADA — Show off your culinary prowess at Arvada Beer's Chili Cook Off! This Sunday, December 20, enter your red or green chili, to be tasted and evaluated by a panel of judges. If cooking isn't your strong suit, go and taste some of the best chili in Arvada for only $5. Proceeds benefit the Arvada Community Food Bank. There is a $10 entry fee for those wishing to enter their chili.
SOUTHWEST DENVER — Chef and Brew Festival Denver is hosting a Christmas Carol themed dinner, featuring chef Michael Long and Strange Craft Beer Company. The event, which will feature scrooge-worthy menu items such as a Christmas spice cured ham, "three ghosts" soup, and chocolate plum pudding brulee, will commence at 6:30 p.m. in the Strange Craft tasting room. Tickets are $49 per person, beer pairings included. Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
