After 22 years in its East Boulder location, Avery Brewing Company picked up and moved into a state-of-the-art facility in Gunbarrel. The new $30 million campus is located at 4910 N. Nautilus Court on 5.6 acres of land. From here, the company owned by Adam Avery will eventually be capable of producing up to 500,000 barrels per year. In 2014, the brewery produced about 55,000 barrels and the anticipated production for this year is 70,000 barrels.
More than a brewhouse, the new spot features a two-story tap room and restaurant that seats about 150 people with capacity for 85 more on the patio. Guests will find things like smoked prime rib, pork green chili, chicken and biscuits, and a variety of salads and sandwiches on the menu. A highlight of the new facility is the barrel cellar, with a start up capacity of 2,000 wooden barrels.
