The chef talked about overfishing and how save the rockfish and other West Coast groundfish. After a horrible fishing disaster in 2000, Whitaker gave readers, fish eaters and chefs some piece of mind in knowing the fish is now being protected. What now? West Coast Groundfish are undervalued and fisherman are hoping chefs and consumers will help by helping grow the market. Whitaker wants diners to broaden their horizons and not just think tuna, salmon and shrimp - to save a West Coast fishery.
