If you can't go to Montreal to have dinner at the famous Joe Beef restaurant, fret not: Old Major is bringing Joe Beef to Denver. On Tuesday, April 7, chef Justin Brunson will host Marc-Olivier Frappier, the restaurant's chef de cuisine, to kick off Old Major's quarterly guest chef series. This event will also be Frappier's American debut.
The one-night-only event will bring a five-course dinner cooked under the direction of the Canadian chef. Joe Beef is known for its playfulness, decadence, and irreverence rooted in classic French cuisine and founded on the best ingredients. Dishes featured in the Montreal dining room include truffled beer-can chicken, the signature spaghetti lobster-homard with chopped bacon, and horse meat carpaccio ("cheval cru" sounds sexier) with artichokes and Pecorino cheese.
Old Major is now accepting reservations for the dinner that costs $80, or $120 including the optional wine pairings for an additional $40. Call 720.420.0622 to secure your spot.
