The Post Brewing Company is throwing a party for the official grand opening of its Taproom. On Thursday, March 19, brewmaster Bryan Selders will offer guests fresh cask beer from The Post's new beer engine, and all guests will get their first beer free as well as free bites from the kitchen. Festivities kick off at 5 p.m. and Grant Farm Acoustic Trio featuring Tyler Grant, Jordan Ramsey, and Meathook will perform from between 5 and 8 p.m.
The Taproom, a 21 and over retreat in the family-friendly restaurant, will be the go-to spot for fresh brewed beer, good music, and snacks.
Twelve lines of Post beer, including fan favorite and Great ABF silver medal winner Howdy Pilsner. Special release, Taproom-exclusive cask beers will be tapped every Thursday, the Lafayette's own Firkin Friday on a Thursday." Casks will be prepared with beers already fermenting in The Post's brewery and will almost always be ales rather than lagers. First up: Meathooks Dark Mild Ale specially dry-hopped with Azacca. Bites from the kitchen will include chicken poutine, pig in a pretzel, Howdy beer cheese, wood-oven potato skins, and more.
The Taproom, located at 105 W Emma Street, will open at 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and at 3 p.m Friday through Sunday.
