DSTILL's weeklong celebration of American craft spirit will return this year from April 13 to 19, featuring a wide array of events that will shine the spotlight on distillers, bartenders, and all-walks of American craft spirit folks. Everything from signature tasting events, craft cocktails, pop-up bars, and educational workshops will take place, including a first-time DSTILL ROCKS concert at none other than the Bluebird Theater.
"DSTILL is a totally unique and refreshing platform on the American distilling scene. It's an inspiring mash-up of some of the most respected distillers and bartenders in the U.S. today," says Lenny Eckstein, the head distiller and co-founder of Deerhammer Distilling.
The week kicks off with DSTILL ROCKS on Tuesday, April 14 featuring Denver's own Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats - one of Denver's most recognized roots artists. This event will commence at the Bluebird Theater on Colfax at 8 p.m. and run until midnight, with only a limited number of tickets being offered.
Union Station will host DSTILL's inspirational and educational panels on Wednesday, April 15. Notable female distillers, bartenders, and chefs will lead a women-only panel from 3 to 5 p.m. that will discuss how their work in their respective crafts is changing the face of the industry. Following the females will be an American Whiskey 201 panel from 8 to 10 p.m., which will provide an opportunity to get up close and personal with today's top distillers of American whiskeys. Tastings and light bites will be provided.
DSTILL's educational programs will give way to the signature tasting event of the week - The Showcase. Taking place at the historic McNichols Civic Center Building on Thursday, April 16, The Showcase will bring together craft spirit producers from across the country for a tasting that both industry and consumers will have the opportunity to partake in. Sample of spirits from top American artisan distillers and craft cocktails prepared by the Colorado Bartenders Guild will be offered.
