As Deep Draft Brewing checks off tasks on its to-do list, it prepares for a spring opening. Westword shared details on the upcoming Uptown brewery owned by Rob Lee and his children, Robert and Anna. The Lees have been homebrewing for three years. During this time, in which over fifty brew recipes were tested, they worked with a one-barrel system. When Deep Draft opens up, they'll be working with a ten-barrel system and they plan to open with six beers, ranging from an English IPA to a pilsner.
The 1,300 space will accommodate up to 47 guests, including seats at the forty-foot-long bar. Lee loves the location and hopes the brewery will exude a sophisticated, neighborhood vibe. The family has taken the space into their own hands, doing nearly all the work that needs to be done before opening day.
