Trends We Wouldn't Miss If They Fizzled Out

From kale to unnecessary ampersands, 5280 says these things should go.

With the release of its Best New Restaurants list, 5280 Magazine reflected on what is still trending in the food world and compiled a list of things to do away with. What's on the chopping block? Kale - sautéed, juiced, in salads or baked goods - no matter what form; ampersands (or their plus sign sister); hybrid foods (like the ramen burger), candy in crafted cocktails, and pricey mac 'n cheese in every variety.

What else is trending that may be here to stay - at least for a while? Fresh pressed juices in cocktailsspecialized charcuterie programs, little markets inside restaurants, and cold brewed coffees.
