Pastry chef Nadine Donovan, who spent the last two years crafting sweet endings at Old Major, has joined restaurateur Josh Wolkon's Vesta Dipping Grill, Steuben's, and Ace as the "secret sauce" pastry chef for the group.
"I feel like I just scored on the free agent market," Wolkon shared. "Bringing Nadine in is another way for our company to keep growing and get better," he added. Wolkon says the group was not actively seeking a pastry chef, but when Nadine became available in February, his interest was piqued. After getting to know her, the match became clear quickly.
Donovan has been working for Wolkon for about two weeks now and her time has been spent on crafting her own desserts for Steuben's. Her creations will be revealed at the modern American diner on Wednesday, March 11. After that, the pastry chef will methodically create new dessert menus for the other two restaurants, Vesta and Ace. The launch of those will be announced at a later time.
