Grey Cactus Y Cocina Bar, the four-month old casual modern Mexican cantina at 295 South Pennsylvania Street, closed its doors quietly last week. The program food at Grey Cactus was helmed by former Vert Kitchen and Z Cuisine chef Christopher Scott.
The space was previously home to Cafe Bar, but closed in order for the cantina to take flight. Though bringing affordable and fun Mexican food to the neighborhood seemed a like a good idea for owner Dane Huguley, the concept didn't take off as predicted.
There has been no word about what the space will become next.
