The Highlands staple, Black Eye Coffee, will open its second outpost off 8th and Sherman in Capitol Hill this summer. The new location is twice the size of its first-born, leaving room for more pastries, cold-pressed juices, and a full dinner menu.
The team behind the new spot finally took over the space to complete its makeover. Here's what one of the owners, Ali Elman, said about the design and build process:
We are designing every inch of the space ourselves. It will be a more grown up version of Black Eye LoHi. Expect to see dark woods, brass and some deco influences. We want to keep most of it a surprise.
Black Eye Coffee 2.0 is set to open in July.
