The sweet sounds of power drills and hammers will be heard for the first time today at 2440 West 44th Avenue, the location of the soon-to-be BluePlains Tavern. The Sunnyside neighborhood is excited to welcome the new American restaurant and wine bar, which will embody a bright and modern community space.
Photos show that the fish and game focused eatery will feature a polished wooden interior with expansive counter space for beverage-only seekers along with both table and booth seating in the dining area. Art inspired by the tavern's wave and grain logo will be sprinkled throughout the venue, tying together the interior's natural theme.
Owner Neil Jorgenson, whose past experience include front-of-house positions at Marlowe's, Stoney's and Govnr's Park Tavern, hopes to open the new spot in July.
