DOWNTOWN — Spring is in the air at the Thirsty Lion Gastropub and Grill. The restaurant has released a new menu including a Greek burger, a sweet marinated peppers appetizer and a fresh grilled radicchio, asparagus, and grapefruit salad. A new martini cocktail and cheesecake can also be found on the latest menu.
LODO — On Friday, April 10, Cook Street School of Culinary Arts will be hosting a Sushi class from 6 to 9:30 p.m. This session is currently full, but anyone interested in attending may join the wait list. If any room becomes available, Cook Street will contact you. The class will cover techniques, presentation, and ingredient selection, as well as how to prepare perfect sushi rice. The cost is $99 per person, and wait list spots can be made online. Stay posted for more sushi class announcements.
CAPITOL HILL — Chef Johnny DePierro of Bones has decided to lighten the menu for the spring and summer months, adding new additions like chilled vermicelli noodles with shrimp ceviche and a grilling gochujang-glazed pork belly ssam. The restaurant will also feaure a new bun every week on Wednesday.
