What: Celebrate the one year anniversary of Bitter Bar's re-opening. Vibe Street and TKettle will provide live music, and Tacos del Norte will be covering food in the back alley. Be ready to dance, eat great food and sip on excellent craft cocktails.

THEBIGWONDERFUL OPENING DAY

What: TheBigWonderful is the ultimate outdoor market, offering local farm-fresh food, craft beer, local artisans, live music, and plenty of family-fun. 100 craft vendors are kicking off opening day with a bang. Opening day will be derby themed, so where your big hats, drink some bourbon and enjoy the tunes of bluegrass. Beach volleyball, urban farming, cornhole, a mini-sized dog park, and full-size stage are just a few of the highlights. Come out to support small business and enjoy the sunshine.

SOUTH DENVER BEER FESTIVAL
When: May 2 and 3 from 1 p.m. (VIP) or 2 p.m. (G.A.) until 5 p.m.
Where: Lakeside at Clement Park, Littleton
What: The festival will feature over 120 craft beers from over 80 breweries, distilleries, meaderies, cideries and more. General admission tickets will include: unlimited tastings, a souvenir tasting cup, access to the beer education area, and shuttle service from downtown Littleton light rail. VIP tickets include all GA privileges plus 1 hour early entry, a limited edition festival t-shirt, access to the VIP Tent featuring VIP only rare beers and craft spirits. GA tickets will be good from 2 to 5 p.m., while VIP ticket holders can enter the festival at 1 p.m.

MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU
When: May 4 at 6 p.m.
Where: Session Kitchen
What: Session Kitchen, Lagunitas and New Belguim present May the 4th Be With You, the second annual Star Wars themed bash. The Star Wars inspired menu will include: Green Fal-Hoth-El Balls, Aleppo Chili Citrus Rubbed Whole Roasted Lamb, Cavatelli from the Mustafar Pasta Bar and the Death Star Croquembouche for dessert. The evening will feature a costume contest with prizes, photo booth, and various beers from Lagunitas and New Belgium.

DU VIN FESTIVAL
When: May 14-16
Where: University of Denver's Daniels College of Business
What: The Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management welcomes guests for two days of wine, food, music and art. The DU Vin Festival features a wine pairing dinner with chef Frank Bonanno, seminars on wine and food topics, a chef/student pairing challenge with top chefs from around the metro area, and a grand tasting with over 100 wines to sample.
More info, tickets, reservations: The wine pairing dinner will take place on Thursday, May 14. The grand tasting will take place on Saturday, May 16. Tickets for the wine dinner are $125 per person. A table purchase is $1,000 (8 tickets for the reception and dinner, 4 tickets to the grand tasting). GOLDYN FASHION LUNCHEON

What: The EDGE fashion series presents a Goldyn Fashion Luncheon, featuring a presentation of the Spring 2015 collections at Goldyn and a four-course lunch. The menu includes heirloom tomato consomme, shaved asparagus salad, seared Alaskan halibut, and passion fruit cheesecake for dessert.

VALVERDE BAZAAR

ILLEGAL PETE'S BURRITO EATING COMPETITION
When: May 24
Where: Sports Authority Field (after the Outlaws game)
What: Illegal Pete's and Denver Outlaws will be hosting the World Burrito Eating Competition, which will feature 12 of the top 100 food eaters in the world including Joey Chestnutt. There will be a preliminary burrito eating competition two weeks before to send one local food eater to compete with the pros. The winner of the competition will receive $5,000.

13TH ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF THE BREWPUBS

What: Colorado beer aficionados can enjoy a day of live music and beer sampling from 12 Summit County and Colorado breweries. Breweries include Pug Ryan's, Dillon Dam, AC Golden, Avery, O'Dells, Oskar Blues, Wynkoop, Tivoli, Twisted Pine, Breckenridge Brewery, Left Hand, and Elevation.
More info, tickets, reservations: For $25, attendees can sample brews from noon to 4 p.m. Each of-age attendee will receive a commemorative mug that will be their key to tasting all the great beers available. Mugs and food tickets can be purchased on-site the day of the event.
WINE DINNER WITH MASTER SOMMELIER, EMILY PAPACH

What: Owner Gene Tang and 1515 Restaurant are excited to host the wine dinner with Master Sommelier, Emily Papach. An opening reception and meet and greet will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a four-course dinner with paired wines. Each course will showcase two paired wines; one from Cambria Estate Vineyards and Winery and the other from Freemark Abbey Winery, both located in California.

What: Oskar Blues Brewery presents the 4th annual Burning Can ExtravCANza, a beer drinking event with live music and sports competitions - including the beer relay. Ticket holders can enjoy unlimited beer tastings from the country's top breweries, participate in a beer drinking race, and listen to live music by The Revivalists, Big Thompson Flood, and Interstate Stache Express. Slacklining, dirt jumping, and kayaking competitions will also keep guests entertained.
