Denver is going taco crazy. Two festivals showcasing the classic and beloved dish will unleash for the second year in a row in the Mile High City. Top Taco and the Denver Taco Festival are both taking place during the last weekend of June. Which will you choose to attend?

Over 35 restaurants will compete at the Top Taco Festival for the titles of the Top Traditional Taco,  Top Creative Taco, and Top Margarita. The competition will be held on Thursday, June 25 in the Sculpture Garden at the Denver Performing Arts Center starting at 5 p.m. with a VIP Patron tasting. General admission will open at 6:30 p.m. for guests to sample and participate in a peoples choice vote as well as a panel of judges that will do the awarding. Participating venues include Comida Cantina, Tamayo, the Kitchen Next Door and more. Ticket prices and offerings vary and can be purchased online.

The Denver Taco Festival is a multi-day event, taking place from June 27 to 28 in the heart of the RiNo neighborhood at 3600 Wynkoop Street. Besides the opportunity to devour countless tacos from Denver's best "tacosmiths," guests can get competitive with the high speed Chihuahua race and some live Lucha Libre wrestling action. Tequila lovers can bond at the Tequila Expo while enjoying live music throughout the whole weekend. This year is promised to include more "tacoyness" with the addition of Tijuana Alley, a mysterious adults-only area in the Red Light District. Ticket prices vary depending on the events you are interesting in attending, and can also be purchased online.
