One of Aspen's finest dining and lodging experiences, The Little Nell, just announced the acclaimed Matt Zubrod as executive chef to all dining operations in the hotel. Zubrod is replacing Bryan Moscatello who left for Napa recently. The Little Nell is Aspen's only five star, five diamond hotel and as such, has a sizable gastronomic standard to live up to. Zubrod will assuredly deliver, with his culinary expertise ranging from cooking and overseeing at Ritz Carlton locations in Aspen, Boston, and Naples, to the iconic Hotel del Coronado in San Diego.
Keystone's former 1800's stagecoach stop turned bed and breakfast, Ski Tip Lodge, recently announced Jordan Alley as its new executive chef. Alley had a tenure as the Lodge's sous chef on his resume, as well as a stint as the sous chef at Z Cuisine, chef de partie at Fruition Restaurant and at Bouchon in Las Vegas. The Lodge's four course dinner menu changes on a daily basis and is consistently awarded shining reviews by its guests.
The Ritz-Carlton just announced a promotion from within. Austin Green is the new executive chef at Elway's Downtown. Green has been in the Ritz-Carlton culinary family since 2006, beginning at the Amelia Island resort in Florida where he worked at Salt. In 2009, he became an integral player in the opening of Lake Tahoe's Ritz-Carlton and the restaurant Manzanita. Green originally joined the Elway's team in late 2012 as the banquet chef.
