BOULDER — The Boulder Farmers Market will host its first-ever Kale Festival on Wednesday, June 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. The festival will features a kale tasting with 10 varieties grown on local farms, kale-inspired recipe demonstrations from Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, and a Kale University education table. Local restaurants will feature kale on their menu and a beer garden will host Left Hand Brewing who will serve two beer pairings.
RINO — Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project will release HopSavant Galaxy and St. Bretta Pomelo on Wednesday, June 24 at the Crooked Stave Taproom at The Source. This will be the third batch of bronze-winning Galaxy, having earned its title at the 2013 Great American Beer Festival. Pomelo is a Brettanomyces Citrus Wildbier that features zest from Pomelo citrus. The release will begin at 6:00 p.m. and reservations are not required.
BOULDER — New Beligium Brewing’s annual Clips Beer & Film Tour will make its sixth stop of the 2015 tour in Boulder on Thursday, June 25. The event will include tastings of New Belgium’s most esoteric beers while watching 20 short films created by New Belgium fans. Hosted by the Valmont Disc Golf Park, the event will begin at 8 p.m. with films starting at 9:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit Community Cycles, a used biked shop, and admissions is free but bring money for the booze.
