Opening Report: Louisville Adds 740 Front to the Restaurant Mix

The restaurant scene in this small town keeps getting better.

Set in the former Old Louisville Inn, 740 Front hosted its grand opening last night. The new spot offers a variety of steaks, seafood, pastas, plus a selection of craft cocktails, beer, and wine. Happy hour is a highlight.

An American dining saloon with some Italian influences, 740 Front occupies a more than century old building that is designated as a historic landmark in Louisville. Owners J. Fred Burns and Chip Pickard, both native Coloradans, had to preserve the character of the space but brought new life to it. The exterior has been renovated to reflect the 1904 original design. Inside, there are dark woods, soft lighting, and a polished look that incorporates many of the materials in the original space.
