Meditate Like a Cat, Drink Wine Like an Italian

And add some beer to the mix just for good measure.

RINO — Today at 6 p.m., Crooked Stave is releasing Progenitor and Petite Sour Passion Fruit. Progenitor (6.2% ABV) is a Golden Sour, primary fermented with a mixed culture of Brettanomyces yeast and bacteria after which it is dry hopped. Petite Sour Passion Fruit (5.5% ABV) was primary fermented in oak with Crooked Stave's mixed culture of wild yeast and bacteria, and then received the equivalent of over a pound per gallon of passion fruit juice.

LOHI —  Duo is welcoming the Gagliardo winemaker dinner tonight. Stefano, their winemaker will be at the LoHi restaurant to present the wines. There are two seatings for the three course wine-paired dinner at 5:45/6 p.m. and 8/8:15 p.m. The cost, including wine, is $68 per person. This will be the first in a series of three Italian winemaker dinners this summer. Duo is offering a "Passport to Italy" - sign up for all three dinners and receive $5 off the price of each event. BERKELEY —On Thursday June 4 from 6:30 to 7 p.m., the Denver Cat Company is hosting a cat-mind meditation event. The goal of the meditation guided by Angela Austin is to get you in a cat-like state of perfect satisfaction and relaxation in the present moment. EDGEWATER — To celebrate national cheese day, Joyride Brewing Company will host a beer and cheese pairing event on Thursday, June 4. The company is partnering with Cypress Grove Chèvre to provide four pairings chosen by the brewmaster and cheese makers. Space is limited and $20 tickets can be purchased online.
