Ten Food-Centric Events You Shouldn't Miss in July

See what foodie dinners and festivals are taking place during the month of America's birthday.

JUL-IPA FESTIVAL
When Saturday, July 11, from 12 to 4 p.m.
WhereMillennium Harvest House, 1345 28th Street, Boulder
WhatWest End Tavern will bring together 30+ breweries from across the country pouring pints of their finest IPAs, food from The West End Tavern, rockin’ live music, and glorious Colorado sunshine by the Boulder Creek for the 7th annual Jul-IPA festivals. Participating breweries include Avery Brewing Co., Bristol Brewing Co., Crazy Mountain Brewing, Denver Beer Co., Elevation Beer Co., Epic Brewing Co., Odd 13 Brewing, Oskar Blues Brewery, Sanitas Brewing Co., Ska Brewing Co., Stone Brewing Co., Telluride Brewing Co., The Post Brewing Co., Upslope Brewing Co., and more. All proceeds will benefit Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence.

CAFE AION FARM DINNER
When: Saturday, July 18 at 6 p.m.
Where: Oxford Gardens Farm, Boulder
What: Chef Dakota Soifer will host a farm dinner at the Oxford Gardens in Boulder. The dinner includes welcome drinks and nibbles, followed by a three-course dinner that was inspired by the daily harvests of Oxford owner, Peter Voz. Harvest items are likely to include summer lettuce, sweet Japanese turnips, carrots, beets, kale, and more. Sanitas Brewing will provide the beer and Cured in Boulder will have the wine.

KEYSTONE WINE & JAZZ FESTIVAL
When: Saturday, July 18 - Sunday, July 19 - 1 to 5 p.m. daily
Where: Keystone
What:  Guests can sample over 300 wines while listening to eight different jazz bands throughout the festival. Wine seminars will take place with topics like "From Farm to Glass" and "For the Love of Chocolate and Wine." A special meal and wine tasting will take place on each day, with "A Culinary Concert" on Saturday and "Prosecco and Pancakes on Sunday. DENVER FIVE AT ELWAY'S
When: Tuesday, July 21 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Elway's Cherry Creek, 2500 E 1st Avenue
What: Chef Aniedra Nichols will host the third dinner from the Denver FIVE dinner series this year. The Denver FIVE is a group of top chefs from the Mile High City who to represent our culinary scene at various events, including an appearance at the Aspen FOOD & WINE Classic in June and a dinner at the James Beard House in New York City in September.

THE BIG EAT
When: Thursday, July 23
Where: The Galleria at the Denver Performing Arts Complex, 1101 13th Street
What: The BigEat returns this year with 40+ of Denver's finest restaurants, cocktails brewed by the top mixologists, breweries galore and a few surprises, of course. Participating restaurants include venues like Ace Eat Serve, Beast + Bottle, D Bar, Pinche Tacos and more. The event will benefit EatDenver, along with a portion of ticket sales going to Work Options for Women, Denver Urban Gardens and Colorado Cooking Matters.

FLAVORS OF COLORADO
When: Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26
Where: Harry A. Nottingham Park, 1 W Benchmark Rd, Avon
What: Come celebrate all things Coloroado with the Flavors of Colorado Festival, kicking off on the evening of Friday, July 24 with a special farm-to-chef’s-table dinner featuring four of Colorado’s finest chefs with a paired four-course meal from 6 to 9 p.m. The rest of the weekend will be filled with educational seminars, culinary demos, live music, and a special corner just for kids. The festival will benefit the Bright Future Foundation and takes place on Avon’s new performance pavilion.

WING APPRECIATION DAY

Where: Denver Deep Dish, 1200 W. 38th Avenue
WhatCelebrate the classic dish of chicken wings at the Denver Deep Dish in LoHi on Saturday, July 25. There will be brews and ciders from Peach Street Distillers, Rocky Mountain Soda Company, and Diebolt Brewing Company and ice cream sandwiches from White Whale’s truck to accompany the meal of honor.

OUTSTANDING IN THE FIELD
When: Wednesday, July 29 at 4 p.m.
Where: Zephyros Farm and Garden, 11466 3725 Rd, Paonia CO 81428
What: Farmers Don Lareau and Daphne Yannakakis will team up with four distinguished guest chefs to prepare a spectacularly fresh meal in the beautiful, rural setting of Zephyros Farm. Mark Fischer of Town, John Little of Harman's Eat & Drink, Brett Thompson of The Pullman, and Antonio Martinez of phat thai will hold the titles of the guest chefs for the evening.

LAGUNITAS BEER DINNER
When: Wednesday, July 29 from 6 - 9:30 p.m.

What: The Chowder Room is excited to announce that it will be teaming up with Lagunitas Brewing Company to offer guests an 8-course beer dinner. Ben Sopchak from Lagunitas and chef Matt Stein have put together a delicious seafood heavy menu to be paired with 8 different brews.

SILVER SPORK SOCIAL
When: Friday, July 31
Where: Surprise location to be announced to guests only a day before the event.
What: The Silver Spork Social will bring together some of Colorado's most talented musicians, chefs, and bartenders for an evening and meal that they have complete freedom over. For a $120 ticket, only 30 guests will receive 7 courses paired with 7 beverages, while listening to 1 soundtrack, and not to mention a 4-hour open bar.
